《鹵》潮州鹵味是九龍城街頭飲食文化特色之一。二次大戰前後,街坊大多從中國大陸不同地區來到香港定居,他們大多以自己的故鄉為榮。街坊之間一般都可接受彼此間生活習慣上的分歧,甚至欣賞不同文化,互相尊重及扶持。潮州鹵味於九龍城這大融爐中如此受歡迎便是一個好例子。近年不同種族融入香港社區似乎比以前複雜了很多。

Stew: Among various street food, Chiu Chow stew is one of the staple dishes in Kowloon City, a melting pot of people came from different parts of China before and after the WWII. They were proud of their heritages. Most people grew up in Kowloon City observed these differences, and even appreciate the benefits that diversity brought. The rise in popularity of Chiu Chow stew is one of the successful examples. In recent years, integration of people with different backgrounds in Hong Kong appears to be more complicated than before.
